Logan

Logan

10 mth old (Border Collie x)

Logan, the Border Collie cross ? is 10 months old. He came to us as a stray. We have no clue as to his past, but we can see that he was not well socialized. When he arrived, Logan appeared quite charming and loving with his foster mom, but very nervous with people he doesn't know . We could tell Logan was a very special dog despite the un friendly greetings so we registered him in a session with a reactivity specialist; he ‘graduated’ with flying colours. He’s now slowly learning to accept strangers in his environment. But this is only the first step: Logan’s forever family will need to pursue training to reinforce what he’s already learned, which is why we hope to find an experienced family or person for Logan. Other than that quirk, Logan is a loving dog that bonds very well with his two-legged friends. He’s housebroken so long as he’s taken out often; he accepts his crate and gets along well with other canines. Romps in the forest are a true pleasure for this dog, and he’s quite content to enjoy himself without straying too far from his person. Logan is not a high energy beast; a daily walk will make him happy. People who love intelligent, hard-working dogs will thoroughly enjoy teaching Logan a whole new set of tricks and keep him stimulated with obedience classes, and as Logan loves his food and wants to please the two perfect motivators will help make the job so much more fun! The Border Collie in Logan is not highly developed, and he’s not fast enough to be a good candidate for speed sports. He won’t go to adopters with children under 12 years of age.
